Harley Dahlstrom-Winsor, who was born 22 October 1996 in Penrith (New South Wales), was raised in Rooty Hill. He is the youngest child of Josie Dahlstrom and Peter Dahlstrom. He has eight half-siblings from earlier marriages. Both his parents are Australian Aboriginal. His mother, who was raised near Gulargambone has Weilwyn and Gamilaraay heritage, while his father, who is from Moree in New South Wales, comes from Gamilaraay and Ngarrable and Swedish descent.

Despite beginning the season with a bronze medal at the 2018 CS U.S. Classic, the move was overall not a success, and both struggled with health and fitness concerns.
